Just About Me
I was born 08 Dec 1984 in a town named Jagadhri which is in Northern India in Haryana State. My father is a retired Electrical Engineer and mother a housewife with education in Music and Hindi Literature. I have a younger brother Parag Arora who is a budding entrepreneur and a graduate from IIT Delhi and his thoughts can be easily captured in his website www.paragarora.com .
My education is from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) in Chemical Engineering. I have worked for almost two years in an Indian Oil Refinery in Vadodara in Process Engineering as well as Control and Automation profiles.
Now, I am currently working with Unilever in its Laundry R&D as a Product Development Manager. Its been almost one and a half years in Unilever and I am just about to get more excited everyday working here in such a nice developmental environment. My colleagues here relate me as a person with an easy to go and a fun loving attitude. I have really good times with my friends and family and if you are next time in town and are looking forward to have an out of box idea for hangout, you should definitely have me on board.
My hobbies includes Cricket ( playing not just watching), Reading, Surfing, Boxing ( just practising at home. nothing serious
),car driving and writing of course.
More About Me
There is one story which has really helped me in defining what I truely am these days.
This can be traced down back to 8 years ago during 2001 when I was preparing for the most prestigious examination in engineering entrance, the IIT. It was a dream, getting in IITs and to be counted amongst India’s top talent pool. I deployed n number of iterations for IIT JEE preparation, consulted varied books, various test papers, various institutes and various mind settings for cracking IIT. Nothing was working at that time when I met one person, who radically defined a change in my thought process. He helped me change my conventional approach towards handling problems to a more focussed and strategic approach. Not only he helped me in setting the right mindset to handle various IIT JEE problems, but he gave me a direction, a direction in my life which as governed not by what people say, what rumors call for, whats more conventional, but rather what is right in front of your eyes thought directly from your own conscience. My eyes could be more focussed after that and so did my mind rationalised himself. It was a life changing period for me, moving from adolescence to maturity.
I am still taken aback by that experience and that time period which set my sails for my professional life and I try my best to be as rational , as calm, as focussed and as happy as I was during those days. Ups and downs come but I manage my way some how.
Something more about me
I dont like fakers.
The world is full of them although. I do appreciate people behaving in a certain way which translates and transform their personality to something they would like to be- They are not FAKERS although ! For example, some one trying to show case his new suit and going to a party designed European style , a handkerchief on his top pocket and hair properly combed backways- giving a CASANOVA look and behaving gently. Now this guy, would not do this thing regularly and probably would be lying on his couch in his underpants most of the time eating PIZZA from hands spilling MAYONNAISE all over the table and sipping his coke half asleep. But that doesnt means, he has no right to be a CASANOVA and try to pretend and slowly slowly inculcate that attitude in him. No Sir. Not at all. He is not a faker. I like him very much. He is probably just like me .
I define FAKERS as a group of people behaving differently from what they are in various occassions that makes you feel uncomfortable. For example, Mr. X trying to get too much drunk and dance in a party to catch attention while he is tired from inside and doesnt wants to do that. But just so as to not to be counted as an awkward person , he BOOZES and MAMBO. There was a boy in my class who used to correlate every story with one related experience of his to prove superiority and win over the conversation. I dont like him. He is a FAKER.
Everything else is Ok. I just dont like fakers… ENJOY MY BLOGS
